North East Mayor Kim McGuinness has opened a new community grants fund this month, focussing on groups that bring people together and help keep the communities in our towns, villages, hamlets and cities strong.
The ‘Mayor’s Opportunity Fund’ will invest at least £1 million over the next two years, providing grants to small charities and community groups with an income of less than £1/2 million a year.
So if your organisation meets this criteria and your work brings people together, helps tackle poverty and creates opportunity for others then head over to the Community Foundation and Point North websites to find out the full details and how to apply.
